Holiday Nails

Hey Everyone,

I have been feeling the holiday spirit and for the first time, I have decorated my house with Christmas items that I have been purchasing for the past month or so. I think it looks very nice and it just makes the house feel more cozy and bright. Because of all the decoration, I decided to decorate my nails as well. I must warn you that I am no professional and therefore some of them might look a little strange or might not make sense.  The nail color’s I used were red, silver, white, green, gold and black. I also used the tip of a pen to help me create dots and keep the color from mixing in with another one. You want to start by applying a base to protect your nail, followed by applying a white or red color on the nail and then start to decorate your nail to whatever you want. Let me know what you think and which one is your favorite. By the way... if you see some dark spots that look like I might have a bruise or two on my finger or hand, do not worry its just purple nail polish.

LONGER LASHES

Hey everyone,

For the past week I have wanted to get eyelash extensions, the reason is because I have very small lashes and not a lot of them. A few days ago I went to see a friend who went to the salon and got the extensions on her lashes; let me tell you that they look amazing. It makes your eyes look bigger and you do not need to apply mascara because they are very black that there is no need for that. I was convinced; I went to a salon to see how much they charge. The price started at 200 dollars! Plus I needed to go back every month to replace the ones that have fallen off and that would be 50 dollars. Since I could not afford that at the moment I went to my local beauty store and bought a set of individual lashes that come with a perma-glue for a fraction of the price at the salon.  I took some pictures for you guys to see and compare.

Here is what I needed:

1.   Individual lashes

2.  Special glue to apply lashes

3.  Tweezers

4.  Small piece of foil

*The lashes started to fall after two weeks of putting them on.

Make sure your eyes are clean and free from any makeup residue and oil

Apply a very small amount of glue to the lash

Start the application from the outside of the eye and work your way in

Work the false lashes with your real ones and apply them as close to your eye lid without touching it.

Medium Intense Auburn

Hey everyone,

I was in the mood of changing my hair color the other day but as always, since my natural color is black, I have a hard time finding a color that I like and that will show without having to bleach my hair. I did some research and came across a product from Garnier called Nutrisse Ultra Color for darker hair. I decided to purchase a box since I have short hair and was excited to try it. So I went home all excited and mixed everything together and put it all over my hair, the color I decided to purchase was R2 Medium Intense Auburn. At first it looked extremely red but I did not panic because I knew it would not get that bad, I thought it would just add some highlights at the most. When I got in the shower it was like someone was bleeding to death, I immediately started getting a little disappointed because I could see all the color just washing off. When I started drying my hair, I started to see the color and it actually turned out super nice.  The red is not intense because of my natural color but when the light hits my hair you are able to see the red. Another thing I loved from this brand is that it did not smell that bad when applying the color and it made my hair look healthy, shiny, and it smelled so good. I took some pictures so you guys can see the before and after results.

The Hunger Games

Hey Everyone,

I was just watching some YouTube videos the other day and came across many nail tutorials; I decided to watch one that showed Effie Trinket nails, who is played by the gorgeous Elizabeth Banks in the new movie “The Hunger Games”.  It looked simple and fast so I immediately gathered some of the nail polishes that I had and that kind of looked like the ones being use in the videos (I did not have a hot pink nail polish so I used a red one). Like I mentioned before, it was very fast and simple that it took me approximately 10 minutes to finish both hands.  Here are some of pictures of how I did it and the end result.  Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think! See you soon…

 The products I used are:

·         Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in 440 “Tough Love”

·         Sephora by O.P.I  in “Rumba Romance”

·         Rimmel 60 Seconds 740 clear coat nail polish

·         Nail polish remover

·         Makeup sponge

·         Cotton Swabs

Just Things

Hello Everyone,
So the other day I went to Target because I needed some things for Valentine’s Day but I could not find what I was looking for so I just ended up buying something completely different hahaha,  I bought Law Abiding Citizen with Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, very good movie!!!
Today I went to Walmart for some groceries and I remembered I had some coupons good for a few dollars off, I purchased some disinfecting wipes because I don’t really like the spray bottles or the smell of the product, and I used these to clean my keyboard, mouse, T.V. remotes, and phone. Then I went to the makeup aisle and I got a Rimmel London product, I decided to try out one of their new lipsticks by Kate Moss No. 08 and I really like the color, it is a nude shade and looks great, and finally a Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Peach Satin, I am excited to try this because the color is really nice but it is not that pigmented so we will see.

I really like the packaging of the lipstick because it is very simple.

Have you tried any of these products? If so, which ones do you like or recommend?

Thank you so much for reading!
